The award Salerno Art is designed to celebrate art in all its forms,
but especially to celebrate the "ARTISTS."
As location was chosen Salerno because this city appears to be today
the City flagship of Campania.
In this context it is inserted "Salerno Art 2016" with the
aspiration to become another star in the firmament which shines
along with Luci d'Artista who have consecrated Salerno to the
phenomenon of mass tourism.
Salerno Art celebrates the beauty, celebrates the art and above all
celebrates ARTISTS, ferrymen and the true interpreters of the beauty
of life that is revealed in a pictorial poetry, in a carved music, a
thought that will turn.

Closure award ceremony June 5, 2016 at the Municipal Theatre G. Verdi at
21.30.

Title: "The embrace"
The wars generate victims and the most numerous and most vulnerable
victims is children. Often they die during the clashes and if that does
not happen they lose their families, leaving orphans. But the greatest
evil of this historical moment is that they often
are abducted and used as suicide bombers or sold as
slaves or worse for the trafficking of organs. These two children in the
work are brother and sister. They are left alone because they are
victims of yet another senseless act of man. Brother squeezes into his
arms as if to want to protect it from the ugliness and wickedness of the
world. They are surrounded by desolation and misery
but the hope is that love can overcome everything and
save them ....
